Breanna and Shilpa successfully hosted another community outreach event at the Shorb Market this week. The Shorb Market and Connection Center, located at 603 Shorb Ave NW, Canton, OH 44703, serves the community by providing fresh, healthy food at no cost four days per week. The market is open Tuesday through Friday from 11:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. During the event, soup packets and T-shirts were distributed to more than 250 community members. Attendees received information about the Ohio Center for Hope, including an overview of our nonprofit mission and the services we provide, such as free memory testing. Resources for caregivers supporting individuals with mental health conditions were also shared. In addition, information was provided about NBCR and the clinical trials currently underway. Attendees learned about our state-of-the-art facility, our IRB approval, and our designation as a nationally recognized research center. Overall, the event was a meaningful and uplifting experience focused on education, connection, and community engagement. Many participants openly shared personal experiences related to living with or caring for individuals with one or more mental health conditions, reinforcing the importance of accessible resources and compassionate support.
